Fandoms

1. In The Flesh

*Kieren Walker, Amy Dyer, Simon Monroe, Sue Walker (I don’t need Sue Walker to be included in all the prompts. I do want Kieren, Amy and Simon included in any prompts)

Kieren, Amy and Simon’s friendship brings me so much joy so more exploration and scenes with those 3 would be fantastic. 

In The Flesh as the show really drew me in because of the often somber atmosphere shot through with threads of happiness and joy. All the characters came across as if they could be real people not just wooden tv characters. The heavy religious overtones in the show and especially with Simon were super appealing to me for the cultish, mystical feeling both gave off (in regards to Roarton’s religious themes and the Undead Prophet).

I would prefer the canon relationship between Kieren and Simon. However, if you the YT writer want to, I’d be interested in seeing a poly relationship between Kieren/Amy/Simon in any of the prompts, if that also strikes your fancy.

Prompt Suggestions:

A) Simon, Amy, and Kieren celebrating the holidays or birthdays together with Kieren’s family. I can see Sue (Kieren’s mum) being the one who invites Amy and Simon over. Whatever holiday or whosever birthday. I like to imagine Sue would want to celebrate both Amy and Simon’s birthdays because their lack of family. 

B) Fix it fic where Amy isn’t killed at the end of the show and she becomes a living person again. Exploring what that’s like for her to no longer be seen as part of the Undead. How does she cope with no longer identifying with the Undead, with her once-again mortality of being alive. Amy coming to terms with the scarring on her body not just from her cancer treatment, but others that have collected while she was Undead and her body’s skin obviously doesn’t heal itself. How do Kieren and Simon feel about this. Maybe Sue invites Amy to her therapy group that she and the other mums attended about having Undead family members return to them?

C) Found family for Simon and Amy with Kieren. Maybe they all end up living together? (Sue does not need to be included in this prompt)

D) Exploring Sue’s relationship with Kieren. How they spend their time together and maybe them both sharing family memories together. I feel like Kieren has a closer relationship to his mum.

2. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (anime)

*Batou, Togusa, Kusanagi Motoko, Tachikomas  (not all of these characters need to be used in every prompt. Pick and choose who you want to write as desired)

The camaraderie between everyone in Section 9 was a big reason why I loved this show. How they could snipe and joke with one another but also have deep revealing conversations was what drew me into the characters. Also Androids are cool. The ability to shed one body and take on another. Sharing the mind connections because of the technology in the show.

The Tachikomas were absolutely adore anything, anything with them involved would be fantastic. 

I’m down for a poly relationship between Batou/Togusa/Motoko. I’m happy with Batou/Togusa or Batou/Motoko.

Prompt Suggestions:

A) What do the Tachikomas get up to when they’re left at Section 9 at night or when there’s no mission that requires them. I really liked the Tachikoma that was always reading (like how did she get her books, who gave them to her, why did she choose books versus digitally downloading the info etc) and how she discovered reading. Otherwise the Tachikoma that is affectionately attached to Batou is super adorable. How she became attached to him, maybe how the Tachikomas view each member of Section 9 as riders within them? Do they prefer or dislike any of the members riding in them? (Batou, Togusa, and Motoko do not need to be included in this prompt)

B) Domesticity between Togusa, Batou and Motoko whether while on the job or all at home relaxing for once. Poly pairing here works or pairing Batou/Togusa or Batou/Motoko.

C) Body shopping for Batou and/Motoko? Batou mentions in the show Motoko could have taken on a man’s form instead of a woman’s. In canon Motoko showed her disdain of Batou’s ribbing on a female Android’s body not being as sturdy as a male shaped one. (Togusa and Tachikomas do not need to be included in this prompt)

D) Any of the characters celebrating the holidays or birthdays together. Maybe Batou’s Tachikoma wants to celebrate her “birthday” and begs Batou to let them throw a party for her and the other Tachikomas’ birthdays. Or Valentine’s Day between the poly of Batou/Togusa/Motoko. Is Togusa the romantic and Batou and Motoko indulge him because of how much he enjoys the consumer holiday. (Pick whatever characters you want to be included in this prompt, any of the team members in Section 9 are fine by me to be included)

3. Sense8

*Wolfgang, Lito, Amanita, Sun (not all of these characters need to be used in every prompt. Pick and choose as desired)

Once again as my previous two fandoms what draws me is the family + friendship dynamic between the sensate group. I admit the characters listed are my favorites. This show is the definition of found family and I’m wrecked emotionally by how amazing it is. The smut, the platonic love, the romantic parts, the support during the scary, hardships are so my jam.

Wolfgang appeals to me for the fact he’s a badass with a lot of emotional baggage. He tries his best to be cold but he gets so attached to his cluster in the end. Lito, I enjoy because he’s a drama queen pure and simple. At the same time he’s sweet and caring. Amanita is my favorite woman on the show because of her hilarity, her caring, her fierce protectiveness, and her point blank acceptance of the cluster when Nomi reveals what’s going on. Sun, I admire for her cool, calm exterior, how disciplined she is as a person in direct opposition to Wolfgang, who I feel, is very quick tempered and impulsive. 

The way everyone finds their way to connect with each other whether on purpose or not. 

Prompt Suggestions:

A) This is fandom where I’m down for smut with any of the pairings. The orgies in the show are great. I’d really love to see Wolfgang/Lito fooling around. Hint: I would love if it follows a similar pattern as to the work-out orgie that happens in the first season. I squealed in delight at the scene where Lito kisses Will. (Use all the characters I’ve listed or not)

B) In the show I was thoroughly entertained by Lito having to deal with Sun’s period. I think it’s only right getting to see Sun affecting Wolfgang with her period too. Cue both Lito and Wolfgang looking up ways to soothe their phantom symptoms from Sun and nagging her to take care of herself.

C) Exploring more of Amanita’s relationship with her mom and her own group of friends outside of Nomi and the cluster. What is Amanita like when she’s not helping Nomi with the cluster?

4. Knives Out

*Harlan Thrombey, Marta Cabrera, Benoit Blanc, Meg Thrombey, Ransom Thrombey, Linda Thrombey, Richard Thrombey (not all of these characters need to be used in every prompt. Pick and choose as desired)

Okay this movie I loved for how dysfunctional the family is. Everyone is so rich with their various flaws, motives and traits. I really liked Harlan and Marta’s close friendship. I do wish Nana (Harlan’s mom) had been more explored as a character but it makes sense why she wasn’t. I would have loved to have seen Benoit’s friendship with Marta develop too. It was so sweet how protective he was of her. 

Do Not Want: Harlan Thrombey/Marta Cabrera. Or Marta Cabrera/Ransom. (I am fine if she has a crush on him or him to her but no serious relationship).

Prompt Suggestions:

A) I admit I totally would enjoy Benoit Blanc/Marta Cabrera. I would enjoy them as a couple however I’d take them as developing a closer friendship too. Really, I’d like to see these two hanging out together. If you the writer want them to have solve cases that’s cool but I don’t need it. (Meg, Linda, Richard, Ransom and Harlan don’t have to be used in this prompt if you don’t want to)

B) Does Harlan ever get to meet Marta’s family? Maybe she invites him over for dinner with them? Or him and Marta going out for day activities? Pretty much a slice of life type of fic with these two. (Benoit, Ransom, and Meg don’t have to be involved in this prompt if you don’t want to use them)

C) I’d be down for a fic that digs into Ransom’s life growing up. Obviously as an adult he has hostile feelings towards his mom and dad. How did things devolve to such a situation? It’s clear that Richard, Ransom’s dad, has a good deal of anger towards his son too. Ransom’s relationship with his grandfather Harlan too. Getting to see the debates and fights they get into together. Perhaps how Harlan enabled Ransom’s behavior, whether on purpose or well intentioned. (Marta, Benoit, and Meg don’t need to be involved in this prompt). Really looking into why and how Ransom grew up to be such an entitled prick in the movie. Does he ever have any soft, sweet moments even with the overall arrogant behavior.

5. Mononoke-hime - Princess Mononoke

*San, Lady Eboshi, Kaya, Toki (not all of these characters need to be used in every prompt. Pick and choose as desired)

What caught my interest with this movie is both the fantasy elements of it and Ashitaka himself. Lady Eboshi was an interesting character for her callous heart towards the forest spirits/sprites etc at the same time she took in lepers and bought prostitutes to free them from a life of forced sex work. The Forest God was amazing and utterly eerie and haunting. The Kodama are my absolute favorites they’re so sweet and cute.

Prompt suggestions:

A) A reunion between San and Ashitaka!!! I would love to see them come back together, check in. Definitely want San/Ashitaka pairing here. Smut or not is fine with me.

B) What interests me is seeing a fic about Ashitaka and Kaya’s life as an Emishi Prince and Princess. I really love world and lore building so please go crazy with this if you so wish. I’d like to see the village life and Kaya’s life as a Princess too.

D) Lady Eboshi’s life being explored before and during Iron Town before Ashitaka shows up. How she developed such empathy and social justice for the lepers and prostitutes.

6. Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakush - Spirited Away

*Chihiro, Haku, Lin (not all of these characters need to be used in every prompt. Pick and choose as desired)

This movie is my second favorite from childhood. Howl’s Moving Castle is first. I was so inspired and awed as a kid and teen by the fantasy, mystical beings and world created by this movie. Exploration of the mystical side of Spirited Away would be fantastic.

Prompt Suggestions:

A) Chihiro and Haku’s reunion. I admit I love the idea of Chihiro going back to the bath house to see everyone a few years later. Or I’d like to see Haku, now that he has his name back, going to visit Chihiro. I would love a plot line where Chihiro stays in the spirit realm maybe after she goes to college? She decides that the human world isn’t for her, not after how exciting and fantastical the spirit side is.

B) I think it would be neat to see Haku’s life before the bath house and his time during it before Chihiro appears. Maybe looking at his relationship with Kamaji the boiler man? It’s clear from the movie that Kamaji was familiar enough with Haku to be able to tell when he changed after Yubaba started controlling him.

C) Lin’s life (and worldbuilding) before the bath house. What pushed her into going there to get a job? Exploring the hierarchy within the bath house. It seems like it’s not based only on seniority but the very type of creature you are. Chihiro was on the bottom of the totem pole simply for the fact she was human. Where does Lin rank? Does she have a family she left behind etc? Please go nuts with worldbuilding here for Lin and her life.

D) Worldbuilding fic of the Spirited Away world on the spirit side. Use any of the characters in this prompt as you want to or not. I really love, love worldbuilding fics.
