Dear Wordbuilder Letter 2021
Jan. 4th, 2021 01:52 amDear Worldbuilder Letter,
Hello! I hope the start of 2021 has been treating you good unlike 2020's chaos.
Thank you for writing for me!

Worldbuilding Request A: Side Effects of Forging
Pretty much what kind of side effects would dream-workers suffer from forging? In the movie it's clear that too much time spent dreamsharing can mess with the perception of reality. Does this mean hallucinations both visual and/or auditory are a thing?
Worldbuilding Request B: Side effects of PASIV usage
I can see the regular use of the sedative within the PASIV massively fucking up dream-workers' ability to sleep as well as dream. What other negative side effects may crop up?
Worldbuilding Request C: Arthur and Eames' relationship
This one I feel is quite obvious lol. I'd love for this to be a shippy prompt if you the writer are comfortable with that. It's funny to me to watch them bicker, snark and fuck with one another, but at critical moments have one another's backs. Either exploring how their friendship/or professional relationship started and developed or looking at how they've developed such a connection with one another.
Worldbuilding Request D: Robert Fischer's mental state after the inception
This prompt is one where I love seeing Robert crack at the seams after the inception. I mean in canon Mal commits suicide from the inception that Dom does to her. I feel like too what false feedback they put in Robert's mind of his own father as a more sympathetic character erases the actual harsh, cold father Maurice comes across in the one childhood memory Robert shares (unknowingly) with Eames.
This doesn't have to be full on melt-down of insanity but perhaps from the anxiety of the wrongness of this implanted idea of his dad subconsciously Robert develops OCD to cope with the anxiety this provokes in him?

Worldbuilding Request A: The Undead Prophet character
I really would love to see what this character is like. Either what he was like before he became the Undead Prophet or his time as the Undead Prophet. How did he come to be this cult leader? What decisions or experiences lead him to taking up this cause? He seems to have a relationship of sorts with Simon. Why did he pick Simon over others for the mission he is doing in seeking out the first Risen?
Wordbuilding Request B: Amy's time in the Undead Prophet group
My heart cries for Amy when she decides to leave Roarton after Gary assaulted her. I'd love to see her experiences within the Undead Prophet group since in the show it's clear she's made friends and also completely infatuated with Simon when we see her again. Getting to see her when she first arrives, starts warming up and finally fully embracing the family and acceptance she's been wanting, been seeking in this new life as the Undead.
Worldbuilding Request C: A look at Simon's life before he became the Undead
I know in canon that Simon speaks about the fact he was a drug addict and pretty much his life wasn't pretty. I wouldn't mind that being explored more or even Simon growing up and how his life lead up to either his addiction and/or through it to when he dies.
Worldbuilding Request D: Undead sexuality and/or sex life
Really what it says on the tin. I would really like if this focused on Simon and/or Amy's sex life/sexuality seeing as they seem the most open and casual with it versus Kieren.
Worldbuilding Request E: Amy's experience in the treatment facility
We see in canon both Kieren and Simon's time in the treatment facility as they're getting medicated and prepped to return to outside life. Please, please, please I'd kill to see what Amy's experience was like. Was she her usual optimistic self about it, what trauma did she suffer when she awoke as a PDS sufferer in the facility? How did she cope within the facility and how did she handle being prepped to be released back out into the real world as a PDS sufferer with no support system?

Labyrinth (1986) movie
Characters Requested: Jareth, Sarah Williams, Jareth's Family, The Labyrinth, Any Characters (Labyrinth), Original Characters (Labyrinth)
Optional Ships: Jareth/Sarah
Optional Ships: Jareth/Sarah
Worldbuilding Request A: Jareth growing up as royalty.
I'd love to see Jareth growing up as royalty! Either as Fae or as a fair-faced Goblin lol. It would be fun to see Jareth's family here.
Wordbuilding Request B: Jareth and the Labyrinth's bond
I'm curious of how much of a bond Jareth has with the Labyrinth. I admit I'm a sucker for the fics where the Labyrinth is near sentient and/or their bind is tied in with Jareth's life/health. I love that symbiotic balance take.
Worldbuilding Request C: The Labyrinth
I'm curious on the Labyrinth itself. How it came to be, how it maintains itself, what it does etc
Worldbuilding Request D: Fae society
Assuming Jareth is part of the Fae I love fics that explore the society filling in more of the Underground with creatures besides what we see in the movie.
Worldbuilding Request E: Effects of humans on Labyrinth and the Goblin King
I like to think that humans do affect the Labyrinth and the Goblin King to a certain extent.

Harry Potter (Books Only)
Characters Requested: Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Molly Weasley, Remus Lupin, and Rubeus Hagrid, any characters, original characters
Optional ships: Harry Potter/Hermione Granger
Worldbuilding Request A: Hogwarts being a sentient castle
I love the thought of Hogwarts being aware and sentient of what's going in and outside of itself (maybe just to the boundaries of the magical grounds of the school?). It having moods and having favorites with students and faculty over the years. Really just a look into how much self-awareness the castle has.
Worldbuilding Request B: Hogwarts faculty
I'd enjoy seeing how the Hogwarts faculty goes about living at Hogwarts year-round. Do they have late night hang-outs with their coworkers, any issues they might have with privacy and/or separation of work and personal time since they live at their workplace. Do they have a detailed knowledge of the various routes inside of Hogwarts (are they as knowledgeable as the Weasley twins?) or if not, do they not care to explore the castle? What are their favorite spots to chill in when they're not teaching or being professors.
Worldbuilding Request C: Magical Features of Hogwarts Castle
I'd enjoy seeing what other magical features the Hogwarts Castle has! Are all the features put in by the headmaster or have some students over the many, many years added their own touches to the castle?
Worldbuilding Request D: Hagrid's life and interest in magical dangerous creatures
I'd really like to see more background into Hagrid's life with his dad. I certainly would enjoy seeing his time at Hogwarts too before he got expelled, however, his home life before his Hogwarts time would be very lovely to see.
Worldbuilding Request E: Squibs and their relationship with their families
I'd be curious to see how wizarding parents cope with having a non-magical child. How much does it mean to them to have a child who can't interact with the magical community in the same way they, the parents, can? How do they adjust to a child with no magic within them?
Worldbuilding Request F: House elf history before bonding with humans
This is definitely a prompt of what it says on the tin. Just what was it like for house elves before the bonding with wizarding families? Did they call themselves house elves? What was their magical abilities like before the binding? What lead to the house elves choosing to entwine themselves so closely into the lives of the witches and wizards and what lead to them being so objected?
Worldbuilding Request G: Cultures of nonhuman magical beings and/or magical beasts
I think this would be quite the interesting prompt! Whatever magical creatures you'd like to pick!
Optional ships: Harry Potter/Hermione Granger

Spirited Away
Characters Requested: Yubaba, Zeniba, Kamaji, Radish Spirit
Optional Ships:
Worldbuilding Request A: Yubaba and Zeniba's life growing up
I'd like to see exploration of their relationship as magical siblings especially as twins, if that holds any special power within the spirit realm. Has their relationship always been rocky between them? Have they always been estranged from one another? What perhaps caused this lack of familial love between them?
Worldbuilding Request B: The Radish Spirit
He's such a freaking adorable creature. I'd love to learn more about him and how he came into being. What does he get up to as the Radish spirit?
Worldbuilding Request C: Kamajii's life
What it says on the tin
Worldbuilding Request D: How Yubaba's bathhouse contract works/the spells or magic behind it
Pretty self-explanatory on this prompt.
Worldbuilding Request E: How the bathhouse and spirit market came into existence
Worldbuilding Request F: Festivals in the spirit realm
Optional Ships:

Optional Ships: Geralt/Jaskier, Geralt/Triss, Geralt & Triss, Geralt/Jaskier/Triss
Worldbuilding A: School of the Cat
I'm curious to hear more about different Witcher schools! What's the training like in the school of Cat? What is the relationships and/or bonds like between the Witchers of Cat?
Worldbuilding B: Private customs and jokes among Witchers
Worldbuilding C: Oxenfurt
More Jaskier in his hometown exploration?
Worldbuilding D: Interactions between Witcher schools
YES TO MORE VARIOUS WITCHER INTERACTIONS!! I am so fucking down for this. I am in love with meta and worldbuilding on how the various Witchers from different schools view one another. Positive, negative, neutral etc.
